Yesterday, the Washington State House voted to pass National Popular Vote legislation and send it to Gov. Gregoire for signing into law. If WA enacts NPV, it will be the fifth state to join the compact.
Washington was left behind in the 2008 Presidential election, when it received virtually no attention by major presidential candidates in the main campaign season. If Washington's voters were given equal attention per capita, WA would have seen $4,625,358 in campaign spending and six visits from major party candidates.
