Big wins for the National Popular Vote plan in the Northwest today. The Washington State senate voted for the second time to support the proposal, and the Oregon house voted 39-19 to support it -- with a true bipartisan support that included a third of the chamber's Republicans.
The National Popular Vote bill has now passed 24 state legislative chambers in 16 states, including Arkansas, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington.
