"When we the people lose interest in politicians and officials who exercise power over us, democracy falls at risk". This is the main and crucial notice Bob Keller made in 2006 on the American Democracy. In an editorial published in Cascadia Weekly, he claims that the United States electoral campaigns should take example from German or Canadian ones where they are limited to a certain amount of time. He calls this project, a Campaign Compact.
