6th Circuit: Libertarians Must Be On Ohio Ballot

FairVote supports voters having meaningful choices at the polls. Too often state and local governments set barriers to having these choices.

On September 6, the 6th circuit court yielded a major victory for the rights of parties to present their candidates to the voters: a ruling in Libertarian Party v. Blackwell striking down new Ohio procedures that kept minor party candidates from running with their party labels in 2002, 2004 and 2006.

This comes by way of Ballot Access News, which has a remarkable archive of information about ballot access and related issues.
