Mill Pointe Condominium Association Election

Mill Pointe Condominium Association Board of Trustees Election & Recruitment of Candidates

On Thursday, July 29, 2010, the Mill Pointe Condominium Association will hold an election for three positions of the five-member Board of Trustees.  As described in the Mill Pointe Condominium Association By-Laws, the Board is responsible for the property, affairs & business of the Condominium Association.

The in-person election will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Rosewood, located at 2863 Woodbridge Ave in Edison, New Jersey. Voters will need to provide a State-issued photo identification in order to receive and cast a ballot for in-person voting. In order to accommodate owners unable to vote on-site, proxy ballots have been mailed to your residence. If you are unable to make it to the meeting, you can return your proxy ballot by having it delivered earlier in the day on July 29th -- from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Unit 415 at the Mill Pointe Condominiums. Please note: 1) voters will need to provide a copy of a state-issued photo identification to submit a proxy ballot or 2) provide a completed notarized Affidavit of Identity along with the enclosed proxy ballot. Representatives from FairVote will be on-hand to validate and collect proxy ballots and then to deliver them to be counted in the election that evening.

Voter Qualifications: Please note that each unit is entitled to a single ballot, where you will be able to vote for up to three candidates. Only owners or co-owners who are members in good standing as of July 22, 2010 may vote. Mere tenants and leasees shall not be entitled to vote.

Please don’t forget to vote. If too few voters participate, we will fail to meet quorum, and the Mill Pointe Condominium Association will be forced to spend funds to conduct an additional election. In the instance that quorum has not been met, FairVote will seal all of the ballots and hold them until the next scheduled meeting and notify the Board that quorum has not been met. In such instance, FairVote will sequester the ballots and coordinate the rescheduling of a new election with the Board.
